Hancock County Speedway Welcomes New Manager, Marking an Exciting Era in Dirt Track Racing
[Britt, Iowa, 2/9/2024] – Hancock County Speedway, one of the premier dirt racetracks with historic ties to America’s greatest racers past and present, is thrilled to announce the appointment of a new manager, heralding a fresh chapter in the venue's storied history. Effective 2/7/2024, Darin Toot will assume the role of track manager, bringing a wealth of experience and a passion for motorsports to this iconic venue.
With a reputation for excellence and a commitment to delivering unparalleled racing experiences, Hancock County Speedway has long been a beloved destination for drivers and fans alike. As the new manager, Darin Toot aims to build upon this legacy, infusing the track with innovative ideas, exciting events, and a renewed sense of community spirit.
"I am honored and excited to take on the role of manager at Hancock County Speedway," said Darin. "This track holds a special place in the hearts of racing enthusiasts, and my goal is to elevate the experience for both drivers and fans. We have some exciting plans in store, and I can't wait to share them with everyone."
Born in 1967 in Albert Lea, Minnesota, Darin brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously owned and promoted Chateau Speedway (formerly known as Chateau Raceway) from 2006 to 2015. His passion for dirt track racing and his innovative approach make him the perfect fit to lead Hancock County Speedway into its next chapter.
Outside of the racetrack, Darin is a devoted family man. He has been married since 1989, sharing his love for motorsports with his family. In the same year, he also made a significant personal investment, purchasing his first racecar and a house, marking the beginning of his lifelong dedication to the sport.
Under Darin's leadership, Hancock County Speedway will continue to host a diverse range of events, from thrilling races to family-friendly entertainment. Fans can expect enhancements to the overall race day experience, including improved facilities, expanded concessions, and engaging pre-race activities.
