Hancock County Speedway Unveils 2024 Sanctioning Body and Classes
Britt, Iowa - Hancock County Speedway, one of the Midwest's premier dirt track racing facilities, is proud to announce that it will be sanctioned by the International Motor Contest Association (IMCA), a renowned governing body in grassroots dirt track racing. IMCA's commitment to fair competition and driver safety aligns perfectly with Hancock County Speedway's dedication to providing a top-notch racing experience for drivers and fans alike.
Fans can expect electrifying and adrenaline-pumping racing action to fans of all ages featuring IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Northern SportMods, IMCA Hobby Stocks, and a thrilling new addition to the lineup, the HCS Outlaw Hobby Stocks (based on USRA Hobby Stock rules).
The decision to eliminate the Crusiers and Hornet classes from the regular schedule was a tough one, reflecting our commitment to maintaining high standards of competition and safety. However, we recognize the importance of these classes to our fans, and we are actively exploring opportunities to include them in select events throughout the season, along with other classes in the area (like the American Made Late Model Series) that may align with special events.
With a rich history of delivering heart-pounding action to race fans, the upcoming season promises to be bigger and better than ever before. Highlighted events on the schedule include the historic and fabled Night of 1000 Stars. In addition to these marquee events, Hancock County Speedway will host a variety of special races, themed nights, and fan-favorite promotions throughout the season, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy.
"We're thrilled to unveil our schedule of races for the 2024 season," said Darin Toot, Manager of Hancock County Speedway. "In 2024 we are striving to raise the bar and deliver an unparalleled racing experience for our fans. With an exciting lineup of events and a talented roster of drivers, we can't wait to kick off another thrilling season at Hancock County Speedway. We promise to deliver a racing surface that fans and drivers expect from premier race tracks."
